A player is in an offside position if they are closer to the opponent's goal line than both the ball and the second-to-last opponent when the ball is played. This applies only to players in the attacking half who are actively involved in the play.

In 2020, a simplified procedure was introduced for restarting play after goal kicks and free kicks in the defending penalty area. This means the ball no longer needs to leave the penalty area to be considered in play.

Goal Kick: The ball must be stationary at any location within the penalty area. The ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly moves. Opponents must be at least 9 meters away from the ball.

Penalty Kick Distance:
9 meters

If the recommended goal size is not available, penalties are taken from:
7 meters for a 5 x 2 m goal for U13
11 meters for a 7.32 x 2.44 m goal for U14

When a goalkeeper takes a goal kick or catches the ball in play, the opposing team must retreat to the retreat line and stay there until the ball has left the goalkeeper's hands or feet. When a goal kick is awarded after the ball has crossed the goal line, the ball is in play when the goalkeeper rolls or throws it out. The goalkeeper may also place the ball on the ground and pass it with their feet.

A yellow card results in a 5-minute penalty for the player, and the penalized player may be replaced by another player during the penalty time.

If a team is trailing by four goals or more, they are allowed to play with 8 players until the score is even.
